Checky
Checky is a very creative, sensitive, sincere, helpful and intelligent teenager from Podgorica, Montenegro. He is something like an adopted son to me in some ways and something like a friend in other ways. When we first met I told him about some of my ideas here in Montenegro. At the time he was feeling disillusioned with the country and thinking of leaving. I helped him create a CouchSurfing profile. As you can see, he wrote:
I hope that I have inspired Checky to want to stay here a while longer and not give up on this country. Montenegro has many problems, but I like it here and I see it as a land of opportunity.
To show what kind of friend he is, one night I talked to him and he asked me how I was. I told him the truth. I said I was depressed. He was at a friend's place. Later he called me and asked if I wanted to get together. He told me that he didn't feel good enjoying himself while he knew that I was unhappy. This meant a lot to me.
