Jorge Flores Pictures
March 10, 2009
Here are the pictures Jorge and I took with his camera as we went for a walk around Podgorica today.
The Old Orthodox Church, St. George

The Cemetary Behind the Church
This isone of the most unusual things I have seen in the world. Many graves have been broken into and it is all over-grown.

Now we are going to the high school they call Gymnasium.

For the first time, , I noticed the wall around the school. This gate was locked for some reason, while on the other side of the school, the gates are open.

The entrance.

\
While we were there Srdjan and his friends came out on break. Then Buba, who goes to the music high school saw me and said hello. We then walked with her to her school.

Now we are inside the music school and a classmate of hers is playing classical music on the guitar.

While we were listening to the music, Checky and his friend Matea came out of their class on a break.

Then we walked to the small river, Ribnica

Then we walked to Karver bookstore

Here is Matea, a friend who works in the bookstore.

From one of the bridges near Karver on the way back to the center.

A park near the center. It is on the way to the main plaza from the bookstore.

My ex-girlfriend. (ha ha)

I guess this is a bomb shelter.

Near the bomb shelter is a small shop that has home made cheese from several regions of Montenegro

This is Nena who speaks a little English

You can try the cheese.

Looking down the street from the main plaza

From a gallery.

A park not far from the bus and train station. I was told that there used to be a Turkish cemetary here but it was covered up by this park.
