This is the second lawn mower I have seen in the country. I used to mow the grass all the *%#$ time! I pretty much swore I would never mow grass again. It is funny to see that they water the lawn so ir will grow, then they cut it! Of course this is in lots of places in the world. To me it is sad how much money is spent on appearances. I doubt that they sit on the grass and have picnics or anything. I think it is just to look at. I wonder how many golf courses Montengro has. And I wonder if people will be happier if they have more in the future. It seems to me that people who play tennis in a place like this separate themselves from others, in particular others who can't afford to play tennis or to buy the raquets or balls or to pay for private lessons. I believe we all need to be more connected. I would like to see the girls in the first poster spend more time with poor kids, for example Gypsy kids and less time on tennis. I believe we need more cooperation in the world and less competition.

I saw some steps down to the river so I locked my bike with the lock that Cedric from France gave me. He was a very friendly guy. All four of the French guys were very friendly. I'd be happy to see the again someday.

I aws surprised there was no dock or something. It looks a little like their might have been one a long time ago.

When I came up from the river a man was therre. Probably the caretaker. He didn't speak any English and was surprised to see me but he didn't start shouting that this was private property or something. I asked him which way to Danilovgrad and he told me and I thanked him. I kept riding for awhile but later decided it was too far for this time.

They are starting to build a fence. I think I will have one page on fences. Or fences and walls.

Probably one day there will be new houses all along here.

I saw this on a car by the road. I guess it means Serbia Crna Gora, which would have applied for a few years after ugoslavia fell apart and before Montenegro became independent again.

Dead porcupine.

Bees

More bees.

This wall reminds me a bit of Peru. In Peru nearly everyone out in the country had a wall around their house.

This is a big house. You can't really tell by this pic, though. It is very symetrical. I am guessing it is one family. Here is it still pretty common for people to live with their parents or grandparents.

Back to the start of that road.

First time I realized there is a Communist star up there. I decided to ride up to it.

I thought this was for the train. But it isn't! I went up to it later and it is right next to someone's house. It almoset looks like he is making a private tunnel. Or maybe just a garage. I really don't know! As I have said, you never know what you will find here!

Notice how they spell serial. The "j" here sounds like a "y".

See? No train traks. I was afraid there might be a dog around so I didn't investigate closer. I was also afraid the owner might come out and yell at me. Again, this is from my experiences in the USA, not from my experiences here.

Another thing I like about it here. You can walk on the train tracks. Heee it is not too risky thoough because I am pretty sure they are not using these tracks at all. They seem pretty new though so I don't know what's up. The train tracks go to Niksic. You can see pictures of the old train station there if you find my Niksich pages. Maybe I'll put a link in one day when I get a round toit. That's a joke. I got a "round toit" one day. It was round and it said "toit" on it!

Starting the long climb up to the monument.

Doclea.
